Goethe-Institut Bangladesh staged Manoj Mitra's popular play "Chokhe Angul Dada" on March 29 at Goethe-Institut Auditorium, Dhanmondi in the city. The play is a production of six young talented theatre activists from the renowned troupe 'Aranyak Natyadal'. The performance will be staged under the direction of Ishtiak Hossain.
The story of Chokhe Angul Dada follows the death of Chobkhe Angul Dada, the questionable hero of this performance, played by Rezwan Pervez. It even goes so far, that Chobke Angul Dada starts to question the lord of heaven, played by Masud Ahmed, and all his creations. A dangerous game begins, which eventually drives him to the door of hell.
The six actors, Ishtiak Hossain, Rezwan Pervez, Mahafuz Munna, Masud Ahmed, Nur E Jahan (light) and Uchchash (music) rehearsed for three weeks at the Goethe-Insitut Auditorium prior to the performance.
