3 minors rescued from Hili frontier Trafficker held

DINAJPUR, Mar 28: During trafficking to India, local people rescued three minors and caught a trafficker and handed them over to police at Hili frontier here on Sunday morning.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hakimpur Police Station Md Mokhlesur Rahman said Mehedul Islam Nayeem, 6, son of Mahfuzar Rahman of Uttar Basudebpur (Kaliganj) village, and two others - Riya Moni, 10, and Joy, 6,  daughter and son of Enamul Haque of Itabaona village in the same upazila, coming to Mahfuzar's house for excursion, were playing on the house's courtyard at 8am.
At that time, Mahfuzul Islam, son of Awlad Hossen of Tilabhaduri (Munshipara) village under Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat district, allured the minors of food and took them to Hili border area.
Local people realised the matter immediately and caught the alleged trafficker Mahfuzul along with the minors and informed police. Later, police took them to the police station.
Mahfuzur Rahman, father of the two siblings, filed a case with Hakimpur Police Station.
The trafficker was sent to Dinajpur Senior Judicial Magistrate Court in the afternoon.
