Vice-Chancellor of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) Professor Dr. Mohit Ul Alam was present as chief guest at a seminar entitled 'Safe Water for the Healthy Earth', organized by the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering on the occasion of World Water Day, held at the Central Library Building of the university   on Tuesday.
Presided over by the Head of the Department of Environmental Science and   Engineering Dr. Ashraf Ali Siddiqui, the function was attended by the Treasurer of the university Professor AMM Shamsur Rahman as special guest.
Nakibul Hasan, Lecturer of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering addressed the welcome speech. A key note was presented by Dr. Ashraf Ali Siddiqui .
Dean of the Faculty of the Earth and Environmental Science and Head of the Department of Disaster Science and Management of Dhaka University Professor ASM Maksud Kamal attended in the function as main discussant.
Among others Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration Professor Dr. Subrata Kumar De, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Dr. Mahbub Hossain , Director of Students Counseling and Instruction  Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam and Director of  Research and Extension of the university Professor Dr. Bijoy Bhushan Das were present at the programme.
