One of the victims is identified as Md Asad Ali Sarker Rusel, 30, son of Abbas Alli of Gorgaon village at Pirganj in Thakurgaon.

Victim's brother Tawqir Ahmed told the Daily Observer that they got the information from a family in Thakurgaon on Saturday. "Soon after, I made a phone call to Libya, and some Tofarul confirmed the incident".

"Asadul along with five others went to a market of Misrat close to Tripoly. Two of them were in a shop while another three were in another shop. At that time, a vehicle arrived and picked up two," Towqir quoted Tofarul as saying.
