
The committee made the call at an extended meeting held at Green Road in the city with its convener Sheikh Muhammad Shahidullah in the chair.
Member secretary of the committee Prof Anu Mohammad said as the governments of the two countries are engaged in activities destructive to the Sundarbans, now the people of the countries have to save the world’s largest mangrove forest unitedly.
The meeting discussed a joint movement by the two countries in this regard.
The meeting urged the people of all strata to play an active role to save the Sundarbans as it protects Bangladesh.
