An emergency meeting of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Bank scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed.

The central bank’s spokesperson Shuvankar Saha confirmed the matter to the media.

Apart from matters relating to routine affairs, the meeting was to discuss the bank’s reserve heist. But, the decision of postponement was taken after the return of Governor Atiur Rahman from India.

As per the rule, the Governor, also the Chairman of the Board of Directors, presides over the meeting.
