MEHERPUR, Mar 7: Robbers looted more than Tk 2 lakh from a sister's dormitory of Bhoberpara Christian mission under Mujibnagar upazila here on Saturday night.
Police arrested four persons including two night-guards in this connection.
The arrestees are Brono Mondal and Hara Mondal, night-guards of the dormitory, Bikash Mondal of the same village, and Faruk Hossain, a member of the robber gang and resident of Bagwan village under the upazila.
According to Kazi Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mujibnagar Police Station, a group of robbers broke open the door of the dormitory at night and after tying up Sister Momota Mondal and Mother Tereja, looted cash money and escaped from the spot.
On information, police raided the area and arrested four persons including two night guards of the dormitory.
