PSC submits annual report to President

The Public Service Commission (PSC) on Thursday submitted its annual report-2015 to President Abdul Hamid.

The report was handed over to the President when a 10-member delegation of PSC led by its Chairman Ekram Ahmed called on him at Bangabhaban here.

During the meeting, the delegation apprised the President of the overall activities of the commission as well as various aspects of the report, President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.

The chairman informed the President that it is taking less time comparing to the past to complete the process related to BCS examinations.

He also said that the PSC is digitizing its activities in all spheres to ensure accuracy in the recruitment process.

The delegation members said the commission is now preparing a yearly calendar to hold cadre and non-cadre examinations so that the examinations can be completed in the fixed time.

The President advised the PSC to work with sincerity and honesty so that meritorious people can get jobs of the republic.

He expressed satisfaction over the overall activities of the commission.
