At least three bodies were recovered from three districts - Laxmipur, Comilla and Jessore in two days.
LAXMIPUR: Police recovered headless body of an unidentified youth from a betel nut orchard of one Faruk Mia of Haidarganj bazaar under Raipur upazila here on Saturday noon.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Lokman Hossen of Raipur Police Station confirmed the incident and said, being informed by locals, police recovered the body and sent it to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
Police primarily suspected that miscreants might have killed the youth elsewhere and left the body here, the OC said.
Police are investigating into the matter, the OC added.
COMILLA: Police recovered body of an unidentified man from Katherpul area beside the Dhaka-Chittagong highway under Chandina upazila here on Saturday.
Locals found the body at 8:10am and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandina Police Station Rasul Ahmed Nizami said several injury marks were found on the body.
A case was filed.
JESSORE: Police recovered hanging body of a student from a mess of one Asad's house at Kholadanga area of the district town on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman, 19, son of Jihad Hossen of Bunonagar village under Jhikargachha upazila of the district. He was a student of honours first year at Govt MM College.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Touhid of Jessore Kotwali Police Station being informed by locals, police recovered the body at 9pm and sent it to Jessore 250-Bed General Hospital.
After getting the autopsy report the cause of the death would be known, the SI added.
