Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) will now use the online banking facilities of the branches of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL). Hajjis who want to visit the Holy Kaaba can also use the special banking services of the bank.
In this connection, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between AIBL and HAAB at the bank's head office in the city on Wednesday, said a press release.
The bank's Managing Director Md Habibur Rahman and HAAB President Mohammad Ibrahim Bahar signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
Director of the bank Abdul malek Mollah attended the signing ceremony as the special guest.
AIBL Company Secretary Md Mofazzal Hossain, deputy managing directors Kazi Towhidul Alam, Md Abdul Jalil and SM Jaffar, senior vice-presidents Md Abul Hossain and SM Kowsar and vice-presidents CGM Asaduzzaman and Jalal Ahmed, and HAAB Senior Vice-president Mohammad Helal, Joint Secretary General Mozammel Hossain Kamal and Finance Secretary Fazlul Wahab Mamun were also present on the occasion.
The bank will provide special services to the Hajjis who want to visit the Holy Kaaba with its service desk -- 'Hajj Service Desk'.
In this connection, the bank will also introduce a new 'Hajj Card' for the pilgrims.
