Bangladesh again took the lead with Sohel Rana’s score in the 69th minute, but Ali Fasir again leveled the margin in the 65th
minute.
The match rolled on a shootout for the result and Bangladesh won the match by 5-4 goals.
Bangladesh football team lost to India 0-3 in the first semifinal on Saturday.
Earlier, Bangladesh confirmed the semifinal berth as the Group-B champions beating Nepal by 2-1 goals, after playing a 1-1 against
Bhutan in the first group match.
Including this bronze in the football, Bangladesh secured a total of 69 medals (4 glod, 14 silver and 51 bronze) in the South Asian sports
competition till filing of this report.
The hosts nation, India, were maintaining top slot with a total of 293 medals, including 177 gold, 86 silver and 30 bronze, followed by
Sri Lanka with 177 medals, including 25 gold, 59 silver and 93 bronzes.
