Bangladesh shooter Shovan Chowdhury clinched the second silver medal for the country in the ongoing 12th South Asian Games Shooting discipline securing the second place in men's 10-meter air rifles event on Friday. He scored 203.6 points in the event held at the Kahilipara Shooting Range, Guwahati in Assam in India. Besides, Shovon shared the team event's silver with Abdullah Hel Baki and Anjan Kumar Singha scoring a total of 1845.8 points. Chain Singh of India won the gold in the individual event's scoring total 204.6 while Indian Olympian shooter Gagan Narang sealed the bronze scoring 182.0 points. Earlier, Shovon won a bronze medal in the Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010. He started his shooting career in BKSP in 2004 and this was his best performance in the international arena. Shakil Ahmed, another shooter of the country, won the first shooting gold for Bangladesh in the ongoing games in men's 50-meter pistol at the same venue.
