MetLife Foundation and Swisscontact jointly launched a project for financial Inclusion of garment workers in Bangladesh recently.
The project 'Financial Inclusion for Readymade Garment Workers in Bangladesh' was launched at Radius Center, Gulshan in the capital on February 4. The launching event also had a discussion on financial inclusion, its opportunities and challenges in Bangladesh, said a press release.
Dr. Nirmala Menon, Head of Designated Markets & Health , Asia of MetLife, and Md. Nurul Islam, Regional Senior Vice President, Head of Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar were among the senior leaders of MetLife present in the programme.
Representatives of Swisscontact included Anirban Bhowmik, Head of Portfolio and Quality South Asia, eminent personalities from MetLife Foundation's partner organizations including Dr. A.K.M Musha, Country Director, Concern Worldwide; Bazle Mustafa Rajee, Director, FIVDB; Md. Mostafa Kamal, Project Operation Manager, DFS Project, Buro Bangladesh and Zahida Fizza Kabir, Executive Director, SAJIDA Foundation, were also present on the occasion.
