House of expatriate living in Spain robbed in Sylhet; one 'robber' held

Miscreants have robbed two apartments, including that of an expatriate living in Spain, located in the same building in Sylhet.

Locals caught one suspect and handed him over to police after the robbery at Khadimparha Syedpur in Shahartali on Wednesday early morning.
 
The apartments that were robbed are of expatriate Shahed Ahmed and one Jahed Ahmed.
 
Shahparan Police Station OC Nizam Uddin said a group of 15 to 20 robbers broke into the house and first robbed Shahed’s flat on the first floor and then Jahed’s flat on the ground floor.
 
They took away cash and valuables worth around Tk 1.5 million, the families told the police.
 
The OC said a case was being filed.
