Bangladesh tasted the first victory in their 2nd match of the 12th South Asian Games Women’s Football beating Sri Lanka by 2-1 goals at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex in Shillong Sunday afternoon.

After barren first half, Krishna Rani Sarkar struck both the goals for Bangladesh in the 62nd and 85th minutes respectively while Sri Lanka scored the lone goal in the 66th minute.

Bangladesh Women’s team made a frustrating start in the five-nation competition after conceding 0-3 goals against Nepal in the inaugural match Friday morning.
