BB to probe controversial role of IT firm selected for trng

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has formed a probe body to investigate the controversial roles of chairman of Creative IT Ltd, an IT service provider selected by the central bank for providing training under its skill development project.
The BB has taken this initiative after a news published in a vernacular daily which has alleged that Monir Hossain, Chairman of Creative IT Ltd is involved in anti government and anti state activities.
"During the mass gathering of Hefajot-e-Islam in Dhaka, Monir Hossain led several online propaganda teams against the government and published a status seeking the early death of Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh", the report alleged.
Monir Hossain, Chairman of Creative IT Ltd, however, has denied the allegations raised by the daily and termed the report as completely false and fabricated feed by a vested quarter.
"The report is completely baseless and totally false", he told The Daily Observer over telephone.
Bangladesh Bank recently has selected eight training provider Institutions from different parts of Bangladesh for providing training under the project "Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP)".
"Creative IT Ltd" is one of these eight selected institutions.
Having gone through the news Bangladesh Bank has instantly formed a team to investigate the issue, GM Abul Kalam, General Manager of Bangladesh Bank said.
After getting the investigation report, the BB will take due measures in accordance with the regulation of the bank, he added.
The report also claimed that the company chairman also published anti state and controversial statements on Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation, Prime Minister's ICT Advisor and son Shajib Wajed Joy in various social media in the past.
But the reporter did not mention names of any such media to justify its claims.
Creative IT Ltd has been working in the field of IT since 2009 with Software development, web design and development, network design & installation, IT security management services and provides various kind of IT based professional training.
