The government has initiated an online-based learning platform, Muktopaath (free-learning), which is being claimed as the first ever open source knowledge platform in Bangla.
Access to Information Programme (a2i) under the Prime Minister's Office initiated the platform (muktopaath.gov.bd) aiming to develop the skill of the people.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina disclosed the matter while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Ekushey Boi Mela at the Bangla Academy on Monday.
Initially, the Muktopaath is initiating two courses - Multimedia Content Development and Method of Compost Fertilizers Creation.
A2i Communication Associate Tanzina Ashik said, "The platform is designed for the people who have a little chance to get general education. Anyone from anywhere can attend here and get specific domains."
"The web able school will focus on the skill development of the teacher through the multimedia contents and it will also provide information about foreign opportunities for the expatriate Bangladeshies," Tanzina added.
Besides, the project is offering course on agriculture with practical videos on different cultivation process.
