A teenage mother allegedly tried to kill her new born baby boy throwing from the third floor of a building at Ramna area in the capital on Monday.

The mother is identified as Beauty, 15, maid of a house at the residential area of Baily Road.

Aminul Islam, sub-inspector of Ramna thana, said Beauty threw her son from the Balcony of the building with a view to kill him. The baby was the result of an illicit relation.

The baby boy was admitted to Addin Hospital while Beauty was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
