The ongoing cold wave across the country may last for two to three days more, while the overall temperature is expected to rise at the end of this month, according to the Chuadanga Met office.
The temperature recorded in Chuadanga this morning was 6.1 degrees Celsius, the lowest in the country on Sunday, Jahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Chuadanga Met office, told The Daily Observer.
The ongoing cold wave is hampering the daily life of the people in the area with an increase in cold related illness.
Quoting district relief office sources, a few dailies also reported that some 6,000 blankets have already been distributed among the poor people.
Distribution of warm clothes already have started in different parts of the country.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department officials said cold wave may last for two-three days more.
