Prime Bank Limited (PBL) has recently signed an agreement with Election Commission (EC) in the city on Identification (ID) verification services.
PBL Deputy Managing Director Syed Faridul Islam and EC Director (Operations, National Identity Registration Wing) Syed Mohammad Musa signed the agreement for their respective authorities, said a press release.
EC Director General (National Identity Registration Wing) Brigadier General Sultanuzzaman Md Saleh Uddin, and PBL Senior Executive Vice-president Md Iqbal Hossain and Executive Vice-president Md Shahadat Hossain attended the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, Prime Bank will be able to verify NID submitted by the account holders for account opening, loans, etc.

This verification will authenticate individuals and ensure transparent financial transactions. Frauds and forgery will be drastically reduced. Quality of financial services will be increased.
