Decomposed body of businessman found in Comilla

COMILLA, Jan 14: Police recovered decomposed body of a businessman on Wednesday evening from a deserted house in Atipara village under Daudkandi upazila here after two days of his missing from Dhaka's Rayerbazar area.
He was identified as Jahangir Hossain, 50, owner of Shanta Chemical Coil Company in Dhaka and son of Abu Hanif of Upadi village under Matlab upazila in Chandpur district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daudkandi Police Station Abu Salam Mia said locals smelt foul odour from a deserted house of the village and informed police. Being informed, police recovered the body at 7:30pm and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Family sources said Jahangir was missing from Dhaka's Rayerbazar area two days ago and they lodged a general diary (GD) on Monday.
"There are black spots and neck injuries on the body. He might have been strangulated to death," police said.
A case was filed.
