SATKHIRA, Jan 14: Bhomra Land Port in the district has surpassed its revenue target in the first six months (July-December) period of the current fiscal year (2015-16), achieving  2.73 per cent growth rate.
According to the revenue section of the land port, the overall revenue earnings for the July-December period amounted to Tk 268 crore 36 lakh 55 thousand and 759 against the strategic target of Tk 261 crore 2 lakh 72 thousand.
The revenue section sources said the revenue earnings for the July period amounted to Tk 26 crore 78 lakh 43 thousand 811 against the strategic target of Tk 32 crore 75 lakh 87 thousand.
Revenue earnings for the August period amounted to Tk 30 crore 9 lakh 13 thousand 290 against the strategic target of Tk 45 crore 89 lakh 20 thousand. Earnings for the September period amounted to Tk 53 crore 21 lakh 43 thousand 911 against the strategic target of Tk 48 crore 17 lakh 52 thousand. Earnings for the October period amounted to Tk 59 crore 24 lakh 43 thousand against the strategic target of Tk 41 crore 31 lakh 59 thousand. the earnings for the November period amounted to Tk 36 crore 32 lakh 10 thousand 399 against the strategic target of Tk 47 crore 19 lakh 88 thousand, and the earnings for the December period amounted to Tk 56 crore 68 lakh 11 thousand 119 against the strategic target of Tk 45 crore 68 lakh 66 thousand.
Assistant Commissioner (Customs) of the land port Sharif Mohammad Al-Amin  said,  2.73 per cent revenue growth was achieved in the first six months, and this trend would continue hopefully.
