A three-member team of the US Department of State’s Counterterrorism Bureau is now in city to discuss issues of mutual interest with government officials here.
The visiting team, meanwhile, held meetings with Home and Foreign Ministry officials on Sunday, said a diplomatic source.
The US officials will hold another meeting with officials of the Civil Aviation Authority on Tuesday, said the source.
The delegation is reviewing key elements of Bangladesh-US bilateral cooperation, including ‘robust collaboration’ on security issues.
Earlier, member of Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Carolyn M Leddy and senior adviser for International Economics and Trade of Senate Committee on Foreign Relations D Andrew Olson visited Bangladesh last week.
