Murshedy also ponted out that due to the Accord and Alliance supervision, green investment is already happening in the apparel sector and within the next two years more than 200 green factories would be in place  who will manufacture branded products.
Like apparel and pharmaceuticals, leather goods and footwear, light engineering and software products are also getting world market recognition. Mohammad Hashim Uddin, Secretary, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services, said more than twenty local information technology based firms are exporting software for the world's many corporate houses in competition with many global brands.
