The National Rugby competition (men's and woman's) begins today (Sunday) at the Paltan ground in the city.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
A total of 11 teams of men's section and four teams of women's section are participating in the meet, organised by Bangladesh Rugby Association (BRA).
The participating men's teams are Bangladesh Army, Bagerhat, Faridpur, Narail, Madaripur, Chittagong, Munshiganj, Sirajganj, Gazipur, Dhaka and Rangpur districts while the women's teams are Dhaka, Rangpur, Narail and Munshiganj district.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Saturday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room to give all the details of the meet.
