Who doesn't like to win and it's very common to be disheartened if someone fails to win a match. But, after a goalless draw in the Bangabandhu Gold Cup on Saturday, both Malaysia and Nepal coaches said that they were not unhappy at all.
Being held by the weak Nepalese, Malaysian coach Irfan Bakti Abu Salim in the post match briefing said that he was not depressed. Instead the coach said that it was their first match and he was pleased at the performance of his boys on the field.
"We have two more matches to play in the group round and hope that the boys will not repeat today's mistakes in those matches. If we can do well in the next matches we will be able to secure the semis," said Irfan.
He added "Although the Nepalese drew with us, I don't think them a feeble team. They fought us well all through the match."
Also the coach was considering Bangladesh National Football team the main opponent for them.
Nepal coach Birat Jung Shahi said that they got an only a week to get prepared before the tournament.
"I'm happy to draw the match with a strong team like Malaysia with a barely taken preparation. But, I think there was possibility for us to win the match but we failed to utilise a few chances in the match."
"We will have to play two more matches in Dhaka and hope that we will do well in those matches."
