MYMENSINGH, Dec 31: Ex-BNP lawmaker and eminent lawyer AFM Nazmul Huda died of old age complications and kidney diseases at his Mymensingh town residence on Wednesday noon. He was 85.
Nazmul Huda had been suffering from old age complications and kidney diseases for long. He was elected president and secretary of Mymensingh Bar Association for several times, court sources said.
Nazmul Huda, also former president of BNP's Mymensingh (North) district unit, was involved with BNP politics since the birth of the party and was elected member of parliament with BNP tickets from Gouripur (Mymensingh-3) constituency for three times, BNP sources said.
He was buried at his village home in Gouripur upazila of the district on Thursday morning after a namaz-e-janaza on the Mymensingh Judge Court premises.
He left behind his wife, two daughters, a son and a host of relatives, admirers and party colleagues to mourn his death.
