NATORE, Dec 21: Three journalists including a camera man were seriously assulted during taking a film footage about an event of oil stealing from railway engine at Abdulpur Railway station area under Lalpur Upazila of the district on Saturday evening.
The victims are Sabuj Mahamud- staff reporter, Taimur Hassan Shuvo- reporter and Rakib Hassan- camera man of "Talash Team", a secton of the Independent TV Channel of Dhaka.
Police and locals said, the three journalists of the TV Channel went to an oil godown of one Jamshed Ali near Abdulpur Railway Station for taking a film footage regarding the matter.  
During this time, a group of miscreants attacked them and beat them seriously; later they snatched their camera and mobile phones.
On getting information, police recovered the broken camera from the miscreants and rescued the journalists from the spot.
Abdul Hye, officer-in-charge of  Lalpur Police Station, confirmed the incident and said, since the spot is under the Government Railway Police, he is trying to arrest the miscreants in co-operation
with them.
