BD youth's body found in India

DINAJPUR, Dec 18: Indian police recovered body of a Bangladeshi youth from a river in Indian territory opposite to Bontara frontier under Sadar upazila here on Wednesday evening.
He was identified as Sadequl Islam, 20, son of Maksedul Islam of Laxmitala area in the upazila.
Sources at Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said some Indian people spotted Sadequl's body in the Atrai River, around 1.5 kilometres off Bangladesh territory, on Wednesday evening and informed police.
Later, Indian police recovered and sent the body to a hospital morgue in India for an autopsy. Family members recognised Sadequl after they got his photo from BGB.
A BGB-BSF flag meeting was held along the border on Thursday morning where BGB requested BSF to return the body.
Contacted, Commanding Officer of BGB Battalion-29 Lt Col Kurban Ali said the reason behind the death could not be known yet.     ?UNB
