KUSHTIA: At least two persons were killed and another was injured as a truck ran over a motorcycle at Nolkupa in Sadar upazila on Friday morning.
The victims were identified as Monib, 30, son of Harej Mondal of Bojnadi village, and his sister-in-law Jahanara, 27, daughter of Kodom Mondal of Bisnabipur village of Shailkupa thana.

BANDARBAN: At least seven persons were killed and seven others injured as a truck fell into a road side ditch at Yangcha area in Lama upazila of the district on Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as Md Rakib, 45, Md Rajib, 40, Md Rabin, 35, Aftab Hossain, 55, Md Amzad, 42, Alek Hossain, 21, and Hasan Ali, 45.
Sub-Inspector of Lama Police Station Rabiul Islam said the driver of the Lama upazila-bound truck, loaded with materials of a cell phone tower, lost control over the steering during a turning point and fell into the ditch around 6am, leaving four dead on the spot.
On information, members of Ansar, army and police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.
Later, three others died on the way to Chokoria Health Complex.
The driver of the truck managed to flee, but police detained its helper.
Local people said the accident occurred due to dense fog.
TANGAIL: Two persons were killed and nine others injured when a bus collided head-on with a truck in Soratoil area of Kalihati upazila in the morning, leaving two dead on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Azizul Islam, 70, unit commander of Ishwardi Muktijodha Sangsad of Pabna district, and Shahidul Islam, 45.
The injured were admitted to Tangail Medical College Hospital.
