92 Myanmar fishermen nabbed, 12 trawlers seized in Cox's Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Dec 9: Bangladesh Navy, in its special drive at the coastal area in the Bay of Bengal, has seized 12 Myanmar trawlers  and arrested 92 people on Tuesday.
According to information received from Lt Commander  Zilhaj Foysal of Teknaf Coast Guard station, while conducting regular patrolling near the St. Martin Island on Tuesday noon, Banouja Dholeshwary  ship of the navy  seized 12  fishing trawlers  of Myanmar. The navy personnel also arrested 92 Myanmar citizens who are mainly boatmen and fishermen and brought them from St. Martin  to Teknaf.
The navy men handed over the arrested persons to the police of Teknaf Model Thana and lodged a case under Foreign Citizen's Act.
