The fourth Bangladesh-Bhutan commerce secretary level meeting began at Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) at the capital's Karwan Bazar on Tuesday.
Commerce Secretary Hedayetullah Al- Mamun led a 17-member Bangladesh delegation and Dasho Yeshi Wangbi, Commerce Secretary of Bhutan, led a 10-member Bhutanese delegation to the two-day meeting.
Different issues including market access, hydro-power, transit, export-import, removing tariff, non-tariff barriers and easing visa processing between the two South Asian countries were discussed in the meeting.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Hedayetullah Al Mamoon stressed the need for regional integration, regional connectivity and intra-regional trade aiming at further boosting economic growth in South Asia. ?BSS
