Barisal Bulls' Al Amin Hossain and Sylhet Superstars' Mohammad Shahid have been found guilty of breaching the BCB Code of Conduct and fined for that. They breached the Code of Conduct during the teams' BPL 2015 match on 24 November 2015 (Tuesday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
BCB confirmed it on Wednesday through a media release.
Both Al Amin and Shahid have been handed fines for breaching Article 2.2.7 of the of Code of Conduct, which relates to 'inappropriate and deliberate physical contact with a player'. A fine of Taka 40,000 (forty thousand Taka) has been imposed on Al Amin while Shahid has been penalized Taka 30,000 (thirty thousand Taka) for the Level 2 offence which took place during the final over of the Barisal Bulls' innings with the players getting into a heated exchange after Shahid had got Al Amin out.
If found guilty under Article 2.2.7 of the Code of Conduct a player faces a fine of Taka 30,000 to 50,000 (thirty to fifty thousand Taka) and/or a 01 (one) match suspension.
Following the conclusion of the match, the players admitted the offences and accepted the proposed sanctions. As such, there was no need for formal hearings.
