The judgement in the sensational rape case against Viqarunnisa Noon School's teacher Parimal Joydhar is going to be delivered Wednesday afternoon.
Judge Salauddin Ahmed of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal -4 is likely to pronounce the judgement at about 2pm.
On November 10, the Tribunal fixed Wednesday for delivering the judgement on completion of arguments from both prosecution and defence.
According to the case statement, Parimal Joydhar, a teacher of Bashundhara branch of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College violated a girl student on May 28, 2011 in his coaching centre and captured the incident on his mobile phone.
He then threatened the girl, saying he would post the video recordings and the photos on the internet if she told anyone about the rape incident. Parimal repeated the same again on June 17, the same year.
Detectives arrested Parimal from a relative's house in Keraniganj on July 7, 2011 following filing of a case by the victim's father.
