Bangladesh dashing opener Tamim Iqbal and his elder brother who also opened for Bangladesh will play in the same team Chittagong Vikings in BPL-three. The brothers may open the Chittagong innings together. But Tamim is not excited for that.
Tamim talked to the media after the practice of Chittagong on Friday at BCB Academy.
Tamim said, "I am not excited at all. He is my brother but at the end of the day he is a cricketer and I am the same as well."
Tamim thinks their team is balanced and they will fix the plan after the arrival of all the foreign players.
He said, "Our team is balanced. Within today (Friday) all the foreign players will come and then we will do the meeting to fix the plan. Till now all are okay."
Tamim also thinks the local players have to do the main job.
He said, "I think the local players have to do the main job. The foreigners will be there as supporting hand. The success of the tournament depends on the local players."
There is also some challenge in any kind of tournament and Tamim believes they have to play better to do better.
"There will be always some challenge to play well. We have to play well to get result," said Tamim.
Tamim mention ahead of the World T20 the tournament will be very helpful for the national team.
He said, "I think it will be a great tournament. It will be helpful for the national team. We have to work out here about how we play the T20. We have Asia Cup, World T20 ahead. We will get the chance to prepare for those tournaments through BPL."
