PATNA, Nov 9 :  The fact that he was unhappy was an open secret, but Shatrughan Sinha, the BJP lawmaker from Bihar, fired off a string of tweets today that are certain to sting his party.
"It appears the issue of Bihari vs Bahari (and Bihari Babu's absence) has been settled once and for all," he tweeted, following it up with "Wishing great luck to our victorious friends and appealing for introspection to our people. The writing was always on the wall".
A total of 4 tweets hours before the Bihar election results were official - the obvious context Grand Alliance leader and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's reference to the Prime Minister as the outsider in the Bihar campaign and himself as the Bihari babu who was left out.
Speaking to NDTV, Sinha said, "I'm sad my party has not done well, we could have done better. I was not part and parcel this time (for campaign). I was left out of the campaign. Accountability must be fixed."
Calling for introspection, he added, "Why has this happened at the cost of own people? Was it someone's whim, fancy or arrogance? We lost a winning battle".
He said he felt the negative campaign of the BJP did not work with the voter who was looking for more positive and concrete ideas on crucial issues like employment and inflation.    ?PTI
