The minister was talking to journalists at his Secretariat office on Sunday, a day after seperate attacks on two publishers and two bloggers in the capital that left one dead and three critically injured.
He also said that such incidents also take place in other countries as well.
But, the minister could not give details about any progress in the investigation and arrest of the perpetrators.
Publisher Ahmedur Rashid Chowdhury Tutul of ‘Suddhaswar’ and two bloggers were hacked and shot by unknown assailants at the publishing house at Lalmatia.
Within hours of the attack, Jagriti Prokashoni publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan was found murdered in his office at Aziz Supermarket at Shahbagh.
Both the publishers were close to slain writer-blogger Avijit Roy and had published his books.
