Three people were killed and three others injured when a truck smashed an auto-rickshaw at Madhupur upazila of Tangail district on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as--Abdul Malek, 60, Abdul Khalek, 32, of Ghatail upazila and Jony Miah, 20, of Madhupur upazila.
Police said, the accident took place around 6:30am when the truck rammed into the CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving three passengers of the three-wheeler dead on the spot and three others injured.
One of the injured was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital while two others tU Madhupur upazila Health Complex.
Madhupur Police Station OC Shafiqul Islam confirmed the accident.
