Jessore: Group of armed people chopped a young man Abu Laskar 35, at Ganga Rampur village under Shalika Upazila of the district on Satruday morning. The clash originated between two rival groups to establish supremacy in the village. In this connection, the rival group hostage one Abu Laskar and chopped him with sharp weapons.
After the incident, Abu Laskar was brought to Magura Sadar Hospital in a critical condition where the doctor declared him dead.
Officer in Charge (OC) of Shalika Thana Abu Zihad Khan confirmed the incident and said several persons were picked up to custody in this connection.
Body of Laskar was sent to Magura Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
