Firearms found stashed in tomb in Habiganj

HABIGANJ, Oct 23: Police recovered firearms and petrol bombs from a tomb at Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj on Thursday night.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madhabpur Police Station Monir Hossain told this correspondent that on secrete information, a team of police led by Sub-Inspector Shams-E-Tabriz raided a graveyard at Mehergaon village at about 11:00pm and recovered one pipe-gun, 53 crude bombs and 47 Molotov cocktails from the grave.
The OC said that the police were scrutinising whether the illegal arms and bombs were stored there for carrying out sabotage.
A general diary was lodged with the police in this connection.
