Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia has said the possibility of justice to the people in the country has faded away.
The former prime minister also noted that the country was now passing through a crucial time of unfair, injustice and anarchy.
The BNP Chairperson made the remarks in a message given on the occasion of Holy Ashura to be observed on Saturday.
She called upon all to be imbued with the spirit of Ashura to fight against all injustice in the country for restoring democracy, and protecting independence and sovereignty.
"It is the duty of every citizen to be vocal against injustice and evil activities," Khaleda said adding "Islam teaches us this lesson."
She pointed out that Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) has also instructed to protest the injustice.
"Being his disciples, we should put up resistance against the misrule of illegal power of ruling regime," Khaleda Zia said.
Khaleda Zia said 10th Muharram is a significant day for the Muslim Ummah of the whole world.
The BNP chief mentioned a shocking incident took place on this day of Ashura. Hazrat Imam Hossain, grandson of the Prophet embraced martyrdom to fight against injustice.
"The incident of Karbala still sheds our tears and touches our hearts," Khaleda said.
