An exhibition titled "Deliberate/Random-Dialogue between images" started on October 13. It will end on November 8 at Kalakendra, Mohammadpur in the city. The exhibition was jointly inaugurated by eminent artist Monirul Islam; Manzur Rahman, joint secretary, Ministry of Cultural Affairs and M A Rahim Feroz, vice-president of DBL group and advisor of Kibria Print Making Studio. The exhbition displays ten works by Farzana Rahman Boby and eleven works by Palash Baran Biswas. It has been curated by Wakilur Rahman and Kehkasha Sabah.
Palash follows the deliberate approach in art making while Farzana the random one. Palash's focus is on depiction of human beings in semi-abstract spaces though he does not avoid classical figures. Farzana on the other hand focuses on nature through spontaneous abstractions. The only thing the two have in common is the use of monochromatism and long friendship. Besides these both of their fortes are printmaking. Palash has done his masters from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. Farzana has completed hers from University of Development Alternative (UODA). Both of them have been in the Kibria Print Making Studio.
