Senior officials of several banks have expressed their congratulations to Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr Atiur Rahman for achieving the 'Central Banker of the Year-2015' award in the Asia-Pacific region accorded by the London-based Financial Times owned magazine 'The Banker'.
The congratulations were offered in separate sessions at the central bank head office in the capital on Thursday, when the senior officials of Sonali Bank Limited (SBL), Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL), Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited (EXIM Bank) and Bank Asia Limited (Bank Asia), and Public Relations Association of Banks (PRAB), while meeting the central bank governor.
SBL: The bank's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pradip Kumar Dutta greeted BB Governor Dr Atiur Rahman by presenting a bouquet of flowers for achieving the global award.
SBL General Manager (Public Relations) and Chief Information Officer Md Mofazzal Hossain was present on the occasion.
AIBL: Managing Director of the bank Md Habibur Rahman congratulated Governor Dr Atiur Rahman with a bouquet of flowers at the BB headquarters.
General Manager of Bangladesh Bank AFM Asaduzzaman and AIBL Assistant Vice-president Jalal Ahmed attended the ceremony.
EXIM Bank: The bank's Managing Director and CEO Dr Mohammad Haider Ali congratulated BB Governor Dr Atiur Rahman with a bouquet of flowers at the latter's office in the city for achieving the 'Central Banker of the Year-2015' award.
Bank Asia: The bank's President and Managing Director Md Mehmood Husain along with its Additional Managing Director Aminul Islam greeted BB Governor Dr Atiur Rahman at his office in the city for winning the `Central Banker of the Year-2015' of the Asia-Pacific award.
PRAB: A delegation of the association (PRAB) congratulated Governor of BB Dr Atiur Rahman for being awarded the 'Best Central Bank Governor in the Asia-Pacific Region' at the central bank headquarters in the capital.
