MA Quaiyum has recently been promoted to the post of general manager (GM) of Sonali Bank Limited (SBL) and joined its Bangabandhu Avenue Corporate branch in the city as GM.
Prior to his new assignment, Mr Quaiyum was deputy general manager of Agrabad Corporate branch of the same bank, said a press release.
After completing his BCom (Hons) in 1980 and MCom degree in 1982 from the University of Dhaka, the banker joined Sonali Bank as financial analyst in 1984.
He also completed his CA course from Dhaka Kazi Zahir and Company in 1985.
