The Sessions Court on Tuesday also rejected the bail prayers of four suspected child-lifters in a human-trafficking case. The Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Kamrul Hossain Molla, passed the order after hearing the bail petition on behalf of the accused. Earlier on September 21, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court rejected the bail prayers. Police rescued 10 children, aged between eight to 10 years, from a house at Banasree area in the capital on September 12. During the drive police detained the four-Arifur Rahman, Zakia Sultana, Firoz Alam Khan and Hasibul Hasan. Earlier, the four suspects were placed on a 2-day remand in connection with lifting 10 children. They claimed that they were officials of Adammaya Bangladesh Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, but they failed to produce any supporting documents authorising them to look after orphans and street children.
