17 Bangladeshi held on Putkhali border on way back from India

Benapole: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 17 Bangladeshi nationals while they were entering the country through Putkhali border point here on Monday, after going to India illegally.
The arrested are from different areas of Bagerhat, Narail and Faridpur districts.
BGB Battalion-23 Putkhali camp commander Shafiuddin said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area at about 8:30 pm and arrested the 17 Bangladeshi nationals, including six women and one child, while they were trying to enter the Bangladesh territory during their return from India without valid documents.
Later, BGB troops handed them over to Benapole Port Police Station.
