Barisal set-up mammoth target of 370 over Rajshahi

Rajshahi's Sunzamul grabbed ten wickets in a match for the second time. But Barisal's Tawhidul Islam paled his achievement as Barisal put a huge target of 370 runs and Rajshahi trailed by 345 runs in the second innings on day two of the four-day Walton LED TV 17th National Cricket League (NCL) at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium (SKS), Rajshahi on Saturday.
In the day's other matches, Sylhet Division scored 352 for 8 wickets in the first innings against Chittagong Division at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah; Rangpur Division took a narrow lead by 28 runs with 5 wickets in hand against Dhaka Metropolis in the first innings at Shaheed Chandu Stadium (SCS) Bogra while Khulna Division trail by 19 runs with 6 wickets in hand against Dhaka Division in the first innings at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium, Khulna.

In Rajshahi: Barisal Division scored 302 runs in the first innings as Sanzamul grabbed six wickets. Replying the total Rajshahi Division resumed the first innings with overnight 19 for 2 in 9 overs and were all out for a paltry 93 runs facing the brilliant bowling of Towhidul Islam who hauled six wickets.
Rajshahi skipper Mushfiqur Rahim scored team highest 32 runs.
In the second innings, Barisal was packed for only 160 runs riding on Mosaddek's team highest 40 runs. Sunzamul again exhibited brilliant bowling grabbing four wickets to make it ten wickets in the match. Farhad Hossain and Farhad Reza captured 3 wickets each.
Chasing target of 370 runs, Rajshahi Division scored 25 runs for no loss in 6 overs and trail by 345 runs in second innings at the end of the second day.

In Fatullah: Sylhet started the second day with overnight 240 for 4 in 90 overs and ended the day with 352 runs for 8 in 120.2 overs.
The unbeaten pair of Rajin Saleh and Ruman Ahmed contributed 143 runs to give a solid stand to Sylhet to make a big total.
Ruman Ahmed scored team highest 80 runs while Rajin Saleh scored 74. Rahatul Ferdous (56) and Abul Hasan (32) also play a big role contributing a 72 runs partnership for the seventh wicket stand.

In Bogra: Dhaka Metro scored 238 runs in their first innings. In replay, Rangpur resumed their day two with overnight 12 for none.
 The unbeaten pair Dhiman Ghosh and Ariful Haque guided the Rangpur well to end the day two with 266 for five.
The duo added 133 runs for the sixth wicket stand. Dhiman and Ariful remained not out with 85 and 48 runs respectively. Earlier, Naeem Islam (46) and Mahmudul Hasan (41) added 86 runs for the fourth wicket stand.

In Khulna: Abdur Razzak and Mustafiz led Khulna grabbing four wickets each to bagged Dhaka Division for 187 runs in 66 overs in the first innings.
In replay, Khulna scored 168 runs for 4 in 49 overs before the umpires called it a day.
Opening batsman Mahedi Hasan scored team highest 53 runs while Imrul Kayes, Tushar Imran and Shakib Al Hasan added 29, 26 and 13 runs respectively.
