Dhrubo Shishu Kishore Shilpi Shangathan, in collaboration with the Nazrul Institute arranged a cultural programme on September 18 to mark the 39th death anniversary of revolutionary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. The programme held at central office of Nazrul Institute, Dhanmondi, also acknowledged its sixth year into the cultural arena. Shujeo Sham, freedom fighter and one of the principal music composers of Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra was present as chief guest at the event. Mohammad Arif Iqbal, chief coordinator of "Taranga of California was present as special guest of the event. Shahid Khan, founder and director of Dhrubo Shishu Kishore Shilpi Shangathan delivered the welcome speech of the event. Jholok Chandra Das, former teacher of recitation at Bulbul Lalitkala Academy was also present. The event was emceed by Tanni, a young prodigy of Dhrubo. The event principally featured Nazrul songs, Lalon songs and national patriotic songs. The artistes were performed in both group and solo performances at the event to mark the founding anniversary of Dhrubo.
Dhrubo Shishu Kishore Shilpi Shangathan, is a cultural organisation specialised for children and juveniles. It gives musical training to youngsters free of cost. The organisation performs regularly on opening session of national and seasonal events arranged at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Bangla Academy and other cultural organisations. The troupe was selected as the only children's organisation to perform on the programme arranged to celebrate the 40th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in February, 2014. The troupe was selected from 39 other children's troupes.
