The hockey residential camp for the upcoming the upcoming Asian Games and Under-21 Asia Cup Hockey is not beginning before Eid, said a source from the federation on Friday.
An executive committee meeting on Thursday regarding the camp was held without any decision. Nothing but the participation in Under-18 tournament on October was decided in that meeting. All the other matters were kept for the governing body meeting.
Earlier on September 9, Bangladesh Hockey Federation announced a 40-player preliminary list for the camp. Then the preliminary selected players were asked to report to the selection committee official at the camp on September 13, Sunday at 4:00 pm at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
However the players abandoned the camp from the very first day.
