Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran and Bangladesh would jointly work in the areas of energy, science and technology and culture.

He also vowed to jointly fight terrorism which destroys the global peace in the name of Islam.

Iranian minister made the remarks at a press conference at Hotel Sonargaon in the capital on Wednesday evening.

Terming Bangladesh a tested friend of Iran, Zarif said his country would expand its relation in the areas of trade and investment.

He mentioned that Islam had no space for terrorism. Rather Islam is a religion of peace but a section of derailed Muslims engaged in terrorism.

Iran is committed to fight the evil forces, Zarif said adding that his country would boost up relations between Iran and Bangladesh, once the economic sanction is lifted.
